You're here because you want to venture into 0.0 space (nullsec) to join in on the excitement you hear about, but you don't have any training. You know you'll die.
Most of the other nullsec corps and alliances will offer you training only if you join their 'cause', whether that's PVP or industry. That can be daunting for someone that doesn't want to be part of some 'cause'...
We understand your dilemma.
What's the answer?
OUCH is the answer. It's the Open University of Celestial Hardship. We have very experienced trainers to teach you how to survive and fight in nullsec. We have no 'cause' other than to teach you nullsec survival and PVP.
Our motto: kill more, die less.
What does that mean for me?
You're going to lose ships (it's why we ensure you're only using cheap, expendable Tech 1 frigates while you're doing your training). You're probably going to get podded quite a few times along the way too. We don't guarantee your survival in nullsec, but we do guarantee to teach you how to minimize your losses along the way.
It's brutal out there, but when you're a member of OUCH, you're with a group of friendly, relaxed people who understand your fears. We're there to help you learn how to survive in nullspace. We will teach you everything you need to know.
What kind of training will I get?
Student training focuses on a number of essential skills in a detailed yet practical maner:
- Overview settings
- EVE client settings and interface
- Bookmarking
- Using the Directional Scanner
- Tackling
- Weaponry
- Fleet Ops
- Hunter/Prey
Once you graduate from OUCH you can choose to become a permanent member if you want, or you're free to move on. If you stay, you will have the opportunity to move into more advanced hulls and roles and receive advanced PVP training, including, for example, Interceptors, EWAR, Recons, Covert Ops, and support ships.
Student Training Schedule
Our training sessions are usually held every week on Saturdays and Sundays at 19:00 EVE time in hisec or on SISI. We promote these sessions with our forum, eve mails and in-game calendar.
Are there any minimum requirements to join OUCH?
No pre-requisites are required to join OUCH. No minimum number of skill points, API checks, interviews, etc. We truly are an "open" training corporation. Our students have ranged from one day old trial accounts to players who were with Eve since Beta. We accept anyone with a pulse.
However, to make your OUCH experience meaningful, you must be willing to have or accept the following:
- A desire to learn how to survive in nullsec and develop your PvP skills.
- Do your homework and abide by our corporate policies and restrictions.
- You will not, and should not, be fighting from day one. Like when you learn boxing, it's the gym first and arena second.
- Graduates in the Operations Dept (PVP) must be involved in at least four fights every month.
- When a student graduates and decides to stay in OUCH they must join one of our two Departments: Training or Operations (PVP)
- Be active on Teamspeak (for voice communications) when you're logged on.
- Sign up to our forum and keep up to date with information and discussions.
OUCH is a nullsec survival and PvP training corp. You're expected to be practicing what you've learned, and if you're not practicing, then we hope that's because you've learned it so well you're teaching someone instead. Being on Teamspeak will allow you to chat with other corp and alliance members, and participate in more training and PvP operations. |

Look forward to seeing you flying amongst us! |

There are some people out there that think that because Eve Online is a game, it shouldn't be taken seriously.
However, your choices in Eve have consequences, and those consequences have an impact on your assets. Assets that you worked damn hard to build up. Assets worth millions, or hundreds of millions - even billions! You value these assets, and you would rather not lose them if you can help it. Your assets are a result of your significant investment of time and resources in this game, and you take that very seriously indeed.
It's all well and good for people to treat Eve as a game, as a joke, but they're usually the ones out there with few assets of their own, while trying to take your hard-earned assets away from you. Usually with extreme force. They have more experience at this than you have at avoiding or preventing them.
That, of course is where OUCH comes in. We understand how serious you are about your own personal investments of time and resources, and so we take our training very, very seriously.
Your time with OUCH is a continued investment into your survival, and the survival of your assets. We teach you:
- how to survive travelling in nullsec
- what dangers to look out for and avoid
- and how to fight
It's that 'how to fight' bit that's pretty important too. Not only do you want to protect your assets by being aware of the dangers out there when you're moving them around, but there will always come a time when you might have to fight to protect them.
OUCH will teach you how to setup combat ships, how to use them appropriately, how to work in fleets with corp-mates, and how to kick ass!
We take ass-kicking very seriously.
So if you're looking for an organisation who takes YOUR investments seriously, then consider joining OUCH today. |

This is hilarious.
'Dammit, you guys killed me. Why can't you PVP with skill and style instead of teaching efficient combat techniques? I'd have a better chance of winning or even just surviving if you taught your noobs to fight with skill and style. I hate you so much.'
We don't claim to 'teach with skill and style'. We claim to teach pilots how to survive in nullsec, and how to fight. We do that with a high level of efficiency. The people that don't like how we teach are usually the ones that end up on the wrong end of our weapons because their survival techniques just aren't up to scratch. But that's apparently because OUCH doesn't teach properly, and has nothing to do with their inability to fly properly.
Yeh, right.
It's like those people that call you a loser because you don't want to fight their 20-man fleet with your T1 cruiser. Or those same guys that can't pin you down and kill you because your superior skills allowed you to get away from their pitiful attempts to tackle you and kill you. 'Come back in your T1 cruiser and fight our 20 x T2 ships like a real man!'
I have no time for those people, and neither does OUCH. If you feel the same way, come join OUCH and join in on upsetting people with your 'lack of skill and stye'. |

well, not fry YOUR ass, if you're reading this and trying to find out who you should be joining... No, we fry THEIR asses. And as a student, you'll be trained in how to fry their asses too!
Just wanted to make that clear. |

Make your way to Berta and set yourself up there for PVE and training. Join OUCH and follow the instructions, and you'll be into nearby nullsec before you know it! |

Maybe I should add some requirements to the ad:
* all prospective members need to make sure they take their head out of their ass before joining * before joining OUCH, make sure you empty your cup |

Merry Xmas everyone. I hope Santa brings you lots of juicy kills!
Or, if you're not that way inclined, I hope Santa lights your way home so you can avoid the predators out there.
Oh! Santa just whispered in my ear and said that anyone who joins OUCH can actually learn how to find their way home WITHOUT him lighting the way! That's pretty cool...
Oh wait, I knew that....
But you should still join OUCH today, 'cause you just KNOW you need to know how to find your way through the darkness out there. We teach you that. And we have Santa's blessing, so you know you're in good hands with us.
And if you can't join OUCH today 'cause you're busy with Xmas, that's ok too! Tomorrow is fine....
Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way Oh what fun, it is to fly, in a covert ops today! |

Just join.
Go to OUCH-UNI channel in-game, click on the link to the corp name, and click on Apply. That's it. Your application will be processed within 12-24 hours, and you will be sent instructions via evemail about how to proceed as a new member of OUCH. |
